Quick Trip to Vancouver B.C.

We’ve been meaning to get up to Vancouver for a while, and we finally pulled the trigger and headed up there last weekend.  Wow – we had no idea that it was such a gorgeous city!  We only scratched the surface while we were there, but I think we had a good sampling.  Here are a few photos to give you a taste of our little trip.

Gathering area at the Granville Island Public Market. Tons of people were here enjoying the beautiful weather and views of the city.

Bottles of Maple Syrup for sale at the Granville Island Public Market.

Crossing the Lions Gate Bridge. The road leading to this bridge goes right through Stanley Park, which provides countless stunning views of the bridge and the city.

We ended the evening by sampling various Canadian Candies.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. This is first authentic Chinese Garden to be built outside of China. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but to truly appreciate it you must do the guided tour.

Enjoying the view of the city on one of the sea walls that run along the shores of Stanley Park before heading back home. We could have easily spent a few days exploring Stanley Park as it is huge - about 10% larger than New York's Central Park.
